Our Story

Kingfisher Cove on Jewel Lake is more than just a vacation spot; it's a cherished family home passed down to us from our beloved Aunty Win.

 
Throughout the house, you’ll find pictures of her, her dogs, and tributes to her love for Jewel Lake. Aunty Win adored the lake's tranquility, and we know you will too. Our home may not be fancy, but it is cozy, restful, and fully equipped – the perfect retreat for multiple generations to gather and create lasting memories.

Property Highlights

  • Rooms and Amenities: Our cabin features two full kitchens, dining room, living room and family room for watching old time movies. There is a large deck with a dining area overlooking the lake. Enjoy the simplicity of no cell phones (wifi calling only), wifi, and watching DVD's on the family room television.
  • Sleeping Arrangements: Four bedrooms, an open sleeping area with three beds perfect for kids, and accommodations for up to 10 guests.
  • Outdoor Areas: The front porch offers morning sun, while the upper deck with a barbecue and dining set gets sun until late evening. The lower patio provides cool afternoon shade and breezes. Just a few steps from the lower floor takes you to the beach, dock, picnic, and campfire area.
  • Pet-Friendly: Bring your furry friends along to enjoy the vacation with you.

FAQ

Do you rent boats?

Sorry, no.  The good news is that Jewel Lake Resort rents canoes, kayaks, small boats with electric and gas engines. Just mention to Zina that you’re staying at Kingfisher Cove and they will give you a special rate.

Do we need to bring towels?

Bath and hand towels and face cloths are provided. Please bring your own beach towels. 

Why do we need to bring our own linens?

Our water is well-drawn and doing many loads of washing between guests draws a large amount of water from the well. To avoid having the well shut down in order to refill we ask that you provide your own. Bed sizes are King (3), Queen (3) Twin (1)

How's the biking in the area?

Fantastic - there are so many options and a brochure about trails in the area is in the magazine rack in the liviing room.

Are pets welcome?

For sure they are!  Pets are allowed by special permission but please, they aren’t  allowed on any furniture or in the bedrooms. Please walk them away from the property and cleaned up after them. If you leave the property, please take your fur buddies with you or kennel them up. We have some dog dishes but you please provide pet beds/kennels. 

What kitchen and other items are there?

Kitchen: Microwave, blender, food processor, hand mixer, baking utensils and pans, Gas stove top, electric wall oven, wood stove oven, Keurig and drip coffee makers, electric kettle, salad spinner, toaster,  colander.

Other: hair dryer, towels, face cloths, travel crib, stair gate, high chair, first aid kit, CO2 detectors, smoke detectors, board games, 

Outdoor: deluxe barbecue, fire extinguishers, acrylic glasses to use outdoors
